Half-centuries from Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell and James Faulkner guided Australia unbelievable thrilling one-wicket victory over England, despite a Eoin Morgan's high-class ton and wrap up 2-0 lead in the high-scoring thriller of the second ODI.

  • James Faulkner's unbeaten 69 was the highest-score by an Australian No.9 batsman in One-day international, surpassing the previous record of 64 held by Andy Bichel against New Zealand at Port Elizabeth in the 2003 World Cup and the third highest-score by a No.9 batsman in ODIs.
  • 117 : Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for England against Australia in One-day international, previously held by the 116-run stand between Paul Collingwood and Geraint Jones at Lord's in 2005 and England's third highest sixth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • 57* : James Faulkner and Clint McKay set up the record tenth-wicket partnership for Australia against England in One-day international, previously held by the 45-run stand between Trevor Laughlin and Max Walker at Sydney in 1979.
  • Australia's 301 was their fifth highest score against England in One-day internationals.
  • Australia chased 301 was their fifth highest successful run-chase in One-day International and it is their second highest chase against Australia in ODIs.

England scored run-a-ball 300-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Eoin Morgan 106 off 99-balls - which was his 6th ODI hundred and his second century against Australia in ODIs - including 6-sixes and 4-fours.

Ian Bell scored 68 off 84-deliveries including 5-fours, Jos Buttler 49 off 36-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century - included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 136.11, Ravi Bopara 24 and Alastair Cook 22.

Australia best bowler by Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Faulkner each took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Johnson.

Australia chased 301-9 in 49.3 overs with top scorer by James Faulkner 69 not out, Shaun Marsh cracked a 55 off 69-balls including 7-fours.

Glenn Maxwell hammered a 54 off 39-balls including 8-fours with strike rate of 138.46, Brad Haddin 26 and George Bailey 24.

England best bowler by Joe Root, Chris Jordan, Tim Bresnan each picked up two-wickets, Ravi Bopara, Boyd Rankin and Ben Stokes each took one-wickets.

James Faulkner named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten 69-runs knocked off facing 47-balls including 5-sixes and 3-fours with strike rate of 146.80.
