Quinton de Kock's record 135, Enterprising half-centuries from Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers and JP Duminy's rapid fifty sets up to South Africa massive 141-run victory over World Champions India and take a 1-0 lead in a one-sided game of the first ODI.

  • South Africa's 358 was their second highest score against India in One-day international and their joint seventh highest total in ODIs.

  • 105 : AB de Villiers and JP Duminy set up the fourth highest fourth-wicket partnership for South Africa against India in One-day internationals.
  • Quinton de Kock's 135 was the highest score by an South African batsman against India in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 134 held by Graeme Smith at Kolkata in 2005.

South Africa scored mammoth total of 358-4 in 50 overs with top scorer by Quinton de Kock 135 - which was his 2nd ODI hundred and his first century against India in ODIs.

AB de Villiers hammered a 77 off 47-balls including 6-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 163.82, Hashim Amla struck 65 off 88-balls including five-fours & a six.

JP Duminy blasted a unbeaten 59 off 29-balls including 5-sixes and 2-fours with strike rate of 203.44.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami picked up 3-wickets and one for Virat Kohli.

India scored 217 for all-out in 41 overs with top scorer by MS Dhoni struck 65 off 71-balls including 8-fours and a six.

Virat Kohli scored 31 off 35-balls including five boundaries, Ravindra Jadeja hit 29 off 30-balls included 6-fours, Ravichandran Ashwin 19 and Rohit Sharma 18.

South Africa best bowler by Dale Steyn takes 3-wickets for 25-runs in 8-overs including three maidens, Ryan McLaren picked up 3-wickets and one for Jacques Kallis - Morne Morkel.

Quinton de Kock named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a career-best sparkling 135-runs knocked off facing 121-balls including 18-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 111.57.
