Openers Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla's centuries before Devastating spells from Lonwabo Tsotsobe's four-for and Dale Steyn's three-for helped to South Africa massive 134-run victory over India and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a one-sided game of the second ODI.

  • South Africa's 134-run win was their fourth largest victory by terms of runs against India in ODIs.
  • 194 : Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla set up the second highest first-wicket partnership for South Africa in One-day international and it is also the second highest opening stand against India in ODIs.
  • Lonwabo Tsotsobe's 4 for 25 was his third best bowling performance for India in One-day international and his second best-bowling-figures against India in ODIs after his 4 for 22 at Johannesburg in 2011.
  • South Africa's 280 was their joint fourth highest score against India at their home venue in ODIs.
  • India's 146 was their second lowest score in a completed innings against South Africa in ODIs after their 91 at same venue in 2006.

South Africa scored 280-6 in the allotted 49 overs with top scorer by Quinton de Kock cracked a 106 off 118-balls - which was his third ODI hundred and his second century against India in ODIs.

Hashim Amla hit 100 off 117-balls - which was his 12th ODI hundred & his second century against India in ODIs - including 8-fours.

JP Duminy scored 26 off 29-balls included 2-fours and Vernon Philander cracked a unbeaten 14 off 5-balls contained three-fours with strike rate of 280.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami picked up 3-wickets, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin both took 1-1 wickets.

India scored 146 for all-out in 35.1 overs with top scorer by Suresh Raina struck 36 off 50-balls including 3-fours, Ravindra Jadeja cracked a 26, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni both scored 19-runs.

South Africa best bowler by Lonwabo Tsotsobe claimed four-wicket haul for 25-runs from 7.1 overs, Dale Steyn picked up 3-wickets for 17-runs, Morne Morkel took two-wickets and one for Vernon Philander.

Quinton de Kock named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 106-runs knocked off facing 118-balls including nine boundaries.
