England best bowler by Tim Bresnan claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 48-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Graeme Swann, Michael Yardy and James Anderson each took one-wickets.

England scored 338-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Andrew Strauss 158 - which was his 6th ODI hundred, his first century against India and also his 1st ODI hundred in World Cups.

Ian Bell struck 69 off 71-balls including 4-fours & a six, Kevin Pietersen cracked a 31 off 22-balls included 5-fours with strike rate of 140.91, Jonathan Trott 16 and Graeme Swann 16 not out.

India best bowler by Zaheer Khan picked up 3-wickets, Munaf Patel and Piyush Chawla both took 2-wickets and one for Harbhajan Singh.

Andrew Strauss named Player of the match for his glorious match-saving career-best 158-runs knocked off facing 145-balls including 18-fours and a six with strike rate of 108.97.
