It all came up futile as India's batsmen failed to back their bowlers. Australia stay at the top of the points table in the Commonwealth Bank Tri-series.

Australia scored 203-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Michael Clarke struck 79, Brad Hogg cracked a 32 off 52-balls included two boundaries James Hopes scored 19 and Adam Gilchrist 15.

India best bowler by Irfan Pathan claimed 4-wicket haul for 41-runs in 10-overs, Ishanth Sharma took two-wickets and one for Munaf Patel - Harbhajan Singh.

India scored 153 for all-out in 41.2 overs with top scorer by MS Dhoni struck 37 off 50-balls including a boundary, Gautam Gambhir cracked a 34 off 42-balls included 3-fours, Yuvraj Singh scored 26 and Robin Uthappa 18.

Australia best bowler by Mitchell Johnson picked up 3-wickets, James Hopes, Nathan Bracken and Brad Hogg each took two-wickets.

Michael Clarke named Player of the match for his steady batting performance to scored 79 off 108-balla including six boundaries.
