Sensational Doug Bollinger five-wicket haul and Mitchell Johnson three-for sets up Australia comfortable six-wicket victory over India and took a unassailable 4-2 lead to clinch the seven-match series in a low-scoring game of the sixth ODI.

  • Australia chased 171 was their eighth lowest successful run-chase against India in ODIs.
  • India lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 27-runs - which was their joint second worst first five-wicket collapse in One-day international and it is their worst first 5-wicket collapse against Australia in ODIs. Their previous worst such collapse was eight for 35-runs against Australia at Kuala Lumpur in 2006.
  • 74 : Ravindra Jadeja and Praveen Kumar set up the second highest eight-wicket partnership for India against Australia in One-day international, The highest is 84-run stand between Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar at Vadodara earlier in this series' opening game.
  • Doug Bollinger's 5 for 35 was his best bowling performance for Australia in One-day international and the seventh best-bowling-figures by an Australian bowler against India in ODIs.
  • India's 170 was their second lowest score in a completed innings against Australia at Guwahati in ODIs after their 135 against West Indies in 1987.

India scored 170 for all-out in 48 overs with top scorer by Ravindra Jadeja cracked a 57 off 103-balls including 6-fours.

Praveen Kumar blasted a unbeaten 54 off 51-balls including 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 105.88, MS Dhoni scored 24 off consuming 77-balls included a boundary and Sachin Tendulkar hit 10 off 17-balls contained 2-fours.

Australia best bowler by Doug Bollinger 5-35, Mitchell Johnson picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 9-overs including a maiden and Shane Watson took 2-wickets.

Australia chased 172-4 in 41.5 overs with top scorer by Shane Watson hit a run-a-ball 49-runs - who fell one-run short of his half-century - including 10-fours.

Michael Hussey cracked a unbeaten 35 off 62-balls including two boundaries, Cameron White scored 25 off 48-balls without a boundary, Ricky Ponting struck 25 off 57-balls included 3-fours and Adam Voges hit a unbeaten 23 off 21-balls contained 4-fours with strike rate of 109.52.

Harbhajan Singh captured 2-wickets for 23-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.30, Munaf Patel and Suresh Raina both took one-wickets.

Doug Bollinger named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 35-runs in 10-overs including four maidens with economy rate of 3.50.
