Sensational Shahid Afridi's record-breaking 5 for 16 after Half-centuries from Umar Akmal, Misbah-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal and Younis Khan guided Pakistan's record 205-run victory over Kenya in a one-sided game of the sixth match of a World Cup.

  • Pakistan's 205-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international, It is their biggest win in World Cups, previous biggest win by 192-runs against Sri Lanka at Nottingham in the inaugural 1975 World Cup and the eighth largest victory in World Cups.
  • Kenya's 205-run defeat was their second worst by margin of runs in One-day international and the eighth worst defeat by margin of runs in World Cups.
  • Shahid Afridi's 5 for 16 was his third best bowling performance for Pakistan in One-day international and the best bowling figures by a Pakistan bowler in World Cups, surpassing the previous record of 5 for 28 held by Wasim Akram against Namibia at Kimberley in the 2003 World Cup.

Pakistan scored record total of 317-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Umar Akmal hammered 52, Misbah-ul-Haq struck 65 off 69-balls including 2-sixes & a four.

Kamran Akmal cracked a 55 off 67-balls including 5-fours and Younis Khan scored 50 off 67-balls including 2-fours.

Kenya best bowler by Thomas Odoyo picked up 3-wickets, Steve Tikolo, Shem Ngoche, Elijah Otieno and Jimmy Kamande each took one-wickets.

Kenya scored 112 for all-out in 33.1 overs with top scorer by Collins Obuya struck 47 off 58-balls including 3-fours & 3-sixes, Seren Waters 17, Morris Ouma 16 and Steve Tikolo 13.

Pakistan best bowler by Shahid Afridi claimed a 5-wicket haul for 16-runs in 8-overs including three maidens, Umar Gul took 2-wickets and one for Mohammad Hafeez.

Umar Akmal named Player of the match for his quick-fire 71-runs knocked off facing 52-balls including 8-fours and a six with strike rate of 136.53.
