A historic T20I hat-trick from Brett Lee before Matthew Hayden's 43-ball 73 and Adam Gilchrist's 28-ball 43 power to Australia registered their historic first T20I win against Bangladesh by comfortable 9-wickets in a one-sided game of the 14th match of a ICC World Twenty20.

  • Brett Lee became the first ever bowler to claimed a hat-trick in T20 internationals cricket history and also in World Twenty20.
  • 104 : Matthew Hayden and Adam Gilchrist set up the record first-wicket partnership for Australia in T20 international, it is the third best opening stand and the sixth highest any-wicket partnership in T20Is.

Bangladesh scored 123-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Tamim Iqbal struck 32 off 40-balls including 3-fours, Aftab Ahmed cracked a 31 off 34-balls included two-fours and Shakib Al Hasan 16.

Australia best bowler by Brett Lee picked up 3-wickets, Nathan Bracken takes two-wickets, Stuart Clark, Mitchell Johnson and Michael Clarke each took one-wickets.

Australia chased 124-1 in 13.5 overs with top scorer by Matthew Hayden cracked a 73 off 48-balls including 9-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 152.08 and Adam Gilchrist struck 43 off 28-balls included 4-sixes and a four with strike rate of 153.57.

Brett Lee named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack claimed a historic hat-trick in T20Is.
