Australia's batting line-up again exposed but No.9 batsman Mitchell Starc produced a valuable half-century before the fourth ODI washed out at the SCG.
Australia scored 222-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by David Warner struck 60 off 73-balls including six-fours, Mitchell Starc cracked a unbeaten 52 off 37-balls included seven boundaries with strike rate of 140.54.
Matthew Wade scored a 31 off 53-balls with a boundary, George Bailey 22 and Michael Clarke 20.
Sri Lanka best bowler by Nuwan Kulasekara picked up 3-wickets, Lasith Malinga, Rangana Herath and Thisara Perera each took two-wickets.
Sri Lanka scored 14-0 in 3.2 overs at rain-stopped the play - Tillakaratne Dilshan 9 not out and Mahela Jayawardene 4 not out.
