Chris Gayle's whirlwind hitting display helped to West Indies thrilling 15-run win in the historic first-ever Super Over after Sulieman Benn smashed a 6-runs off last 2-balls of the match to match-tied against New Zealand and take a 1-0 lead in a nail-biter game of the first T20I.
* This is the fourth Twenty20 international match to end in a tie and both teams have involved in two of the four.
New Zealand scored 155-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Ross Taylor cracked a 63 off 50-balls including 4-sixes & 4-fours, Scott Styris 21 and
West Indies best bowler by Chris Gayle takes 2-wickets, Sulieman Benn, Kieron Pollard, Fidel Edwards, Jerome Taylor each took one-wickets and debutant Lionel Baker - who took 1-wicket on his debut T20I match.
West Indies scored 155-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Chris Gayle 61, Xavier Marshall struck 28 off 24-balls including 3-fours & a six and Debutant Shawn Findlay - who scored 19-runs on his debut T20I match.
New Zealand best bowler by Daniel Vettori picked up 3-wickets for 16-runs in 4-overs, Jeetan Patel took 2-wickets and one for Kyle Mills - Tim Southee.
Chris Gayle named Player of the match for his power-hitting batting display to smashed a 25-runs in Super Over after scoring a quick-fire 67-runs knocked off facing 41-balls including 5-sixes and 5-fours with strike rate of 163.41.
