Jesse Ryder and Brendon McCullum's quick-fire fifties sets up to New Zealand comprehensive 36-run victory over West Indies and level the two-match series in the second T20I.

  • New Zealand's 36-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in T20 internationals, previously they won by 10-runs against India a Johannesburg in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20.
  • New Zealand's 191 was their highest score in T20 internationals, previous highest was 190 against India at Johannesburg in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20.
  • 130 : Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder set up the record first-wicket partnership for New Zealand in T20 international and the fourth-highest opening stand in T20Is.
  • West Indies' 155 was their joint fifth highest score in T20 international and It is their joint highest total against New Zealand in T20Is.

New Zealand scored mammoth total of 191-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Jesse Ryder 62, Brendon McCullum hammered a 59 off 34-balls including 6-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 173.52 and James Franklin 21.

West Indies best bowler by Chris Gayle, Jerome Taylor, Kieron Pollard each took 2-wickets and one for Sulieman Benn.

West Indies scored 155-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Ramnaresh Sarwan hammered a 53 off 36-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 147.22.

Kieron Pollard blasted a 38 off 24-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike-rate of 158.33 and Denesh Ramdin struck 30 off 21-balls including four-fours with strike rate of 142.85.

New Zealand best bowler by Jeetan Patel, Daniel Vettori both takes 2-wickets, debutant Even Thompson who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match, Jacob Oram and Tim Southee each took one-wickets.

Jesse Ryder named Player of the match for his quick-fire 62-runs knocked off facing 41-balls including 7-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 151.21.
