South African captain Graeme Smith scored a career-best fighting 141-runs knocked off facing 134-balls Including 16-fours but failed to chase 22-run short of victory and managed the 301-9 in 50-overs, Reply of England's 323 in a high-scoring game of the Champions Trophy Group B match at Centurion.
* Graeme Smith's 141 was the ninth highest score for South Africa in One-day international, it is the highest score by an South Africa batsman against England in ODIs and the joint third highest-scorer in Champions Trophy, jointly with Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar.
