All-round Shahid Afridi's record-breaking four-wicket haul with 7-ball 22, Younis Khan's assault and Umar Gul's four-for helped to Pakistan's record 51-run victory over debutant Scotland in a one-sided game of the third match of a World Twenty20.

  • Pakistan's 51-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international, previous biggest win was 30-run against Bangladesh at Nairobi (Gym) in this month and the fourth heaviest win in T20Is.
  • Shahid Afridi's 4 for 19 was the best bowling figures for Pakistan in T20 international and the second best bowling figures in T20Is after Mark Gillespie's 4 for 7 against Kenya at same venue in today.
  • Umar Gul's 4 for 25 was the second best bowling figures for Pakistan in T20 international and the fifth best bowling figures in T20Is.
  • Pakistan's 171 was their second highest score in T20 internationals.

Pakistan scored 171-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Younis Khan struck 41 off 29-balls including 3-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 141.37, Misbah-ul-Haq cracked a 23 off 16-balls included four-fours with striking rate of 143.75.

Shahid Afridi hammered a rapid 7-ball 22-runs, Mohammad Hafeez 18, Yasir Arafat 17 and Kamran Akmal 16.

Scotland best bowler by Craig Wright picked up 3-wickets, John Blain, Dewald Nel and Majid Haq each took two-wickets.

Scotland scored 120 for all-out in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Fraser Watts struck 46 off 35-balls including nine-fours, Majid Haq, Craig Wright both scored 14-runs and Dewald Nel 13 not out.

Pakistan best bowler by Shahid Afridi claims 4-19, Umar Gul claimed 4-wicket haul for 25-runs in 4-overs, Mohammad Hafeez and Mohammad Asif each took one-wickets.

Shahid Afridi named Player of the match for his all-round performance to claimed 4-wicket haul 19-runs in 4-overs and scoring 22-runs off 7-balls including 2-sixes and a four with strike rate of 314.28.
