Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting centuries leads to Australia emphatic nine-wicket victory over England and enter into the finals in the first semi-final of a Champions Trophy.

* The nine-wicket win is Australia's 25th time in One-day international and 3-times Australia had defeated England by nine or more wickets in ODIs.

* 252 : Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting set up the record second-wicket partnership for Australia in One-day international, it is Australia's highest any-wicket partnership and the joint ninth any-wicket stand in ODIs, jointly held by the 252-run stand between Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly against Sri Lanka at Colombo in 1998.

* Tim Bresnan's 80 was the highest score by an England No.8 batsman in One-day international, also it is the highest in Champions Trophy and the fourth highest in ODIs.

* Shane Watson's 136* was the highest score by an Australian batsman in Champions Trophy, it is the sixth highest-scorer in Champions Trophy and Australia's second highest-scorer against England in ODIs.

* 28 : Ricky Ponting equalled a joint second most centuries hit in One-day internationals jointly with Sanath Jayasuriya.

* Ricky Ponting became the third player to score 12000 runs in One-day internationals after Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya.

England scored 257 for all-out in 47.4 overs with top scorer by Tim Bresnan struck 80 off 76-balls including 11-fours, Luke Wright 48 off 68-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century included 2-sixes & 2-fours.

Joe Denly cracked a 36 off 44-balls including five-fours, Paul Collingwood struck 34 off 30-balls included 5-fours & a six and Graeme Swann 18.

Australia best bowler by Peter Siddle picked up 3-wickets, Shane Watson, Brett Lee both took two-wickets and one for Mitchell Johnson.

Australia chased 258-1 in 41.4 overs with top scorer by Shane Watson 136 not out - which was his 3rd ODI hundred.

Ricky Ponting smashed a unbeaten 111 off 115-balls - which was his 28th ODI hundred including 12-fours and a six.

England best bowler by Graham Onions took one-wicket for 47-run in 8-overs.

Shane Watson named Player the the match for his match-winning unbeaten 136-runs knocked off facing 132-balls including 10-fours and 7-sixes.
