Another outstanding all-round performance from Shane Watson carries to Australia crushing eight-wicket victory in South Africa and enter into semi-finals in the 19th match of a World Twenty20.
* Shane Watson has won the most match awards in Twenty20 internationals (8). While second-placed Shahid Afridi has won seven awards in 53 matches, Watson has done so in 34 matches.
* 99 : Shane Watson and Michael Hussey set up the highest partnership for Australia against South Africa. It is only the third 99-run stand in all Twenty20 internationals.
* The win was Australia's fifth against South Africa in nine matches. This was the first meeting between the two teams in the World Twenty20.
South Africa scored 146-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Robin Peterson blasted a unbeaten 32 off 19-balls including six-fours with strike rate of 168.42, Farhaan Behardien cracked a unbeaten 31 off 27-balls included 2-fours & a six, AB de Villiers 21 and Hashim Amla 17.
Australia best bowler by Xavier Doherty picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 4-overs and Shane Watson took two-wickets.
Australia chased 147-2 in 17.4 overs with top scorer by Shane Watson 70, Michael Hussey cracked a unbeaten 45 off 37-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours and Cameron White blasted a unbeaten 21 off 13-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 161.53.
South Africa best bowler by Morne Morkel and Robin Peterson both took one-wickets.
