Bowlers attack before Masterclass Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara steers to Sri Lanka comfortable nine-wicket victory over West Indies in a one-sided game of the 18th match of a World Twenty20.

* The nine-wicket win is Sri Lanka's second time in T20 international, it is their first time in World Twenty20 and also first time Sri Lanka had defeated West Indies by nine or more wickets in T20Is.

* The number of balls remaining after the win (28) is the second-highest in a World Twenty20 match (target of 130 or more) after Australia's win over India in the 2012 World Twenty20 Super Eights match.

* The win is only the third for Sri Lanka by a margin of nine or more wickets. It is their first such win in the World Twenty20. The defeat is also the third for West Indies by a margin of nine or more wickets.

* Sri Lanka have won all four of their matches against West Indies. The lowest margin of victory in the four matches was the 15-run win at Trent Bridge in the World Twenty20 2009.

* 108 : Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara set up the third-highest partnership for Sri Lanka in Twenty20 internationals. The top three stands for Sri Lanka have come in matches against West Indies.

* The number of fours hit by Jayawardene (125) is joint-second on the list of most boundaries hit by a player in Twenty20 internationals. He is however the highest boundary-hitter (fours) in World Twenty20 matches.

* Ajantha Mendis' economy rate of 3.00 is the third-best against West Indies in a World Twenty20 match (completed spells only). He also holds the record for conceding the fewest runs (nine) against West Indies in the game at The Oval in 2009.

West Indies scored 129-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Marlon Samuels blasted a 50 off 35-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 142.85, Dwayne Bravo struck 40 off 34-balls included four-fours & two-sixes and Andre Russell 19 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Ajantha Mendis takes 2-wickets, Jeevan Mendis, Nuwan Kulasekara and Angelo Mathews each took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka chased 130-1 in 15.2 overs with top scorer by Mahela Jayawardene 65 not out and Kumar Sangakkara cracked a unbeaten 39 off 34-balls including five-fours.

West Indies best bowler by Ravi Rampaul took one-wicket for 39-runs in 4-overs.

Mahela Jayawardene named player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten 65-runs knocked off facing 49-balls including 10-fours and a six with strike rate of 132.65.
