Martin Guptill's power-hitting 91* power to New Zealand comfortable seven-wicket victory over Zimbabwe and take a 1-0 lead in the first T20 international.

* Martin Guptill hammered a 27-ball his second-fastest fifty for New Zealand in T20 internationals.

* Martin Guptill's unbeaten 91 was the second highest score for New Zealand in T20 international and the highest score by an New Zealand batsman against Zimbabwe in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 81 held by Brendon McCullum at Harare in the last year. 

Zimbabwe scored 159-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Hamilton Masakadza blasted a 53 off 36-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 147.22.

Elton Chigumbura hammered a 48 off 24-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike-rate of 200 and Tatenda Taibu 23.

New Zealand best bowler by Debutant Michael Bates - who picked up 3-wickets on his debut T20I match, Kyle Mills takes 2-wickets, Kane Williamson, Nathan McCullum both took one-wickets and debutant Ronnie Hira - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match.

New Zealand chased 160-3 in 16.5 overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill 91 not out, Kane Williamson 48 off 38-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including 5-fours and Rob Nicol 12.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Kyle Jarvis took 2-wickets for 32-runs in 3-overs.

Martin Guptill named Player of the match for his match-winning power-hitting batting performance to smashed a career-best quick-fire unbeaten 91-runs knocked off facing 54-balls including 6-sixes and 5-fours with strike rate of 168.51.
