Umar Akmal and Umar Gul script to Pakistan unlikely two-wicket victory over South Africa in a low-scoring thriller of the 15th match of a World Twenty20.

* The win was Pakistan's third in six Twenty20 internationals against South Africa. All three wins have come in World Twenty20 matches.

* South Africa's score of 28 at the end of six overs is their second-lowest Powerplay score (20-over innings). The score at the end of ten overs (47) is also their lowest in a Twenty20 international.

* The number of maiden overs bowled in the game (4) is the joint second-highest in a Twenty20 international. It is the second such instance in matches at the Premadasa stadium.

* 49 : Umar Akmal and Umar Gul set up the second-highest eighth-wicket stand for Pakistan in Twenty20 internationals. Overall, it is the sixth-highest eighth-wicket partnership.

* Umar Gul's 32 is the second-highest score by a batsman batting at a position between 9 and 11. It is however the highest such score in a World Twenty20 game.

South Africa scored 133-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by JP Duminy 48 off 38-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including 2-sixes & 2-fours, AB de Villiers 25 and Farhaan Behardien 18.

Pakistan best bowler by Mohammad Hafeez, Yasir Arafat both took two-wickets and one for Umar Gul - Saeed Ajmal.

Pakistan chased 136-8 in 19.4 overs with top scorer by Umar Akmal cracked a unbeaten 43-runs knocked off facing 41-balls including 4-fours & a six, Umar Gul 32 and Mohammad Hafeez 15.

South Africa best bowler by Dale Steyn picked up 3-wickets for 22-runs in 4-overs, Robin Peterson takes 2-wickets, JP Duminy, Johan Botha and Jacques Kallis each took one-wickets.

Umar Gul named Player of the match for his match-winning rapid 32-runs off facing 17-balls including 3-sixes and 2-fours with strike rate of 188.23.
