Shane Watson and David Warner leads to Australia comfortable nine-wicket victory over India in the 16th match of a World Twenty20.

  • India lost with 31 balls to spare, which is their second-worst defeat in Twenty20 internationals. Their worst loss was also against Australia, when they were beaten with 52 balls to spare in Melbourne in 2008.
  • 133 : Shane Watson and David Warner set up the highest for any wicket for Australia in Twenty20 international, and the joint fifth-highest opening stand for any team.
  • Shane Watson and David Warner have become the first pair to score more than 1000 partnership runs in Twenty20 internationals.

India scored 140-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Irfan Pathan struck 31 off 30-balls including 2-fours & a six.

Suresh Raina cracked a 26 off 19-balls included four-fours, Gautam Gambhir 17, Ravichandran Ashwin 16 not out, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni both scored 15-runs.

Australia best bowler by Shane Watson picked up 3-wickets, Pat Cummins took two-wickets and one for Mitchell Starc.

Australia chased 141-1 in 14.5 overs with top scorer by Shane Watson 72, David Warner cracked a unbeaten 63 off 41-balls including 7-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 153.65.

India best bowler by Yuvraj Singh took one-wicket for 16-runs in 2-overs.

Shane Watson named Player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to blasted a 72 off 42-balls including 7-sixes and 2-fours with strike rate of 171.42 after a picking up 3-wickets for 34-runs in 4-overs.
