Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels powers to West Indies pulled off a record four-wicket victory over South Africa, despite a Faf du Plessis' record-breaking maiden century and took an unbeatable 2-0 lead to seal the series in the high-scoring epic game of the second T20I.

* West Indies chased 236 was the highest successful run-chase in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 211 chased by India against Sri Lanka at Mohali in 2009.

* South African captain Faf du Plessis hammered a 46-ball second fastest century in T20 international and became the second South African batsman to score a 100 in T20Is.

* Faf du Plessis' 119 was the highest score by an South African batsman in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 117 held by Richard Levi against New Zealand at Hamilton in 2012 and the third highest-score in T20Is.

* Faf du Plessis 119 was the highest individual score by a captain in T20 International cricket history, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 104 held by Tillakaratne Dilshan against Australia at Pallekelle in 2011.

* South Africa's 231 was the fifth highest score in T20 internationals and their highest total against West Indies in T20Is.

David Miller cracked a 47 off 26-balls included 4-fours & 3-sixes with strike-rate of 180.76, Justin Ontong 19 and Rilee Rossouw 15.

West Indies best bowler by Dwayne Bravo, Jason Holder both took two-wickets and one for Sulieman Benn.

West Indies chased 236-6 in 19.2 overs with top scorer by Chris Gayle 90 - who fell ten-run short of his century.

Marlon Samuels cracked a 60 off 39-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 153.84, Darren Sammy struck 20 off 7-balls including 2-fours & a six with strike-rate of 285.71.

Dwayne Smith hit 17 off 9-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 188.88.

South Africa best bowler by David Wiese picked up 3-wickets, Aaron Phangiso, Marchant de Lange and Kyle Abbott each took one-wickets.

Chris Gayle named Player of the match for his match-winning rapid 90-runs knocked off facing 41-balls including 9-fours and 7-sixes with strike rate of 219.51.
