Ravichandran Ashwin's 4 for 8 was the best bowling figures for India in T20 international cricket history, Ravichandran Ashwin breaks his own record of 4 for 11 against Australia at Dhaka in the 2014 World Twenty20. Ravichandran Ashwin's 4 for 8 was the joint ninth best economical figures in T20 international, jointly with Umar Gul and the best economical figures by an Indian bowler in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 3 for 9 held by Bhuvneshwar Kumar against Pakistan at Bengaluru in 2012.

Sri Lanka scored lowest total for 82 for all-out in 18 overs with top scorer by Dasun Shanaka 19 and Thisara Perera 12.

India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin 4-8, Suresh Raina takes 2-wickets for 6-runs in 2-overs, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashish Nehra each took one-wickets.

India chased 84-1 in 13.5 overs with top scorer by Shikhar Dhawan cracked a run-a-ball unbeaten 46-runs including 5-fours & a six and Ajinkya Rahane 22 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Dushmantha Chameera took one-wicket for 14-runs in 2-overs.

Ravichandran Ashwin named player of the match for his sensational bowling performance to claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 8-runs in 4-overs including a maiden.

Ravichandran Ashwin earned player of the series for claimed a 9-wicket in the three-match T20I series.
