Rohit Sharma's record-breaking 61-ball 97 and Shikhar Dhawan's record-breaking fastest fifty before Kuldeep Yadav's four-for, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah's combined 5-wickets helped to India thumping 76-run victory over Ireland, despite a James Shannon's assault and take a 1-0 lead in a historic game of the first T20I.

* India's 76-run win was their fourth largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international.

* Shikhar Dhawan hammered a 27-ball his joint second fastest fifty for India in T20 international and the fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against Ireland in T20Is.

* Rohit Sharma hammered a 39-ball second fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against Ireland in T20Is after Shikhar Dhawan's 27-ball half-century in this match.

* Rohit Sharma's 97 was his third highest score for India in T20 international and the highest-score by an Indian batsman against Ireland in T20Is.

* Shikhar Dhawan's 74 was his third highest score for India in T20 international and the second highest-score by an Indian batsman against Ireland in T20Is after Rohit Sharma's 97 in this match.

* India's 208 was their fifth highest score in T20 international and it is their highest total against Ireland in T20Is.

India scored mammoth total of 208-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 97 off 61-balls - who fell three-run short of his century - including 8-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 159.01.

* Shikhar Dhawan blasted a 74 off 45-balls including 5-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 164.44 and Suresh Raina 10.

Ireland best bowler by Peter Chase claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 35-runs in 4-overs and one for Kevin O'Brien.

Ireland scored 132-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by James Shannon blasted a 60 off 35-balls including 5-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 171.42, Stuart Thompson 12 and Andy Balbirne 11.

India best bowler by Kuldeep Yadav 4-21, Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 3-wickets and Jasprit Bumrah took 2-wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 21-runs in 4-overs.
