India cruising to via DLS method 2-run victory over Ireland, despite a No.8 batsmen Barry McCarthy's maiden blazing half-century and take a 1-0 lead in a rain-hit contest of the first T20I.

Ireland scored 139-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Barry McCarthy blasted a unbeaten 51 off 33-balls including 4-sixes & 4-fours with strike rate of 154.54.

Curtis Campher cracked a 39 off 33-balls including 3-fours & a six and Mark Adair scored a run-a-ball 16-runs included 2-fours.

India best bowler by Ravi Bishnoi, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna each took 2-wickets and one for Arshdeep Singh.

India scored 47-2 in 6.5 overs - due to incessant rain DLS par score 45 after 6.5-overs India were 2-run ahead of the par score when the match-stopped with top scorer by Yashasvi Jaiswal cracked a 24 off 23-balls including 3-fours & a six.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a unbeaten 19 off 16-balls including one-six & a four and Sanju Samson 1 not out.

Ireland best bowler by Craig Young took 2-wickets for 2-runs in his first five balls.

Jasprit Bumrah named Player of the match for marked his return with a 2-wickets for 24-runs in 4-overs.
