Chris Gayle's maidne IPL century powers to Royal Challengers Bangalore emphatic nine-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in the 24th match of a Indian Premier League.
* Chris Gayle hammered a 55-ball joint tenth fastest century in Indian Premier League and became the second Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman to score a 100 in IPL after Manish Pandey.
* Royal Challengers Bangalore' 9-wicket win was their joint second largest victory by terms of wickets remaining in Indian Premier League, it is their third time win by nine wickets and first time RCB had defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by nine or more wickets in IPL.
