Virender Sehwag's 47-ball 80 and Bowlers attack helped to Delhi Daredevils registered their historic first IPL game win against Kochi Tuskers Kerala by a comprehensive 38-runs in the 36th match of a Indian Premier League.
DD scored 157-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Virender Sehwag hammered a 80 off 47-balls, Yogesh Nagar scored 22 off 30-balls including a boundary.
Travis Birt blasted a 20 off 13-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 153.84 and Irfan Pathan hit 13 off 7-balls contained one-six & a four with strike-rate of 185.71.
Kochi best bowler by Sreesanth captured 2-wickets for 10-runs in 4-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.50, Ramesh Powar, Ravindra Jadeja and Vinay Kumar each took one-wickets.
Kochi scored 119 for all-out in 18.5 overs with top scorer by Ravindra Jadeja blasted a 31 off 22-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 140.90.
Brad Hodge hit 27 off 25-balls including 3-fours and Mahela Jayawardene scored 18 off 28-balls included two boundaries.
DD best bowler by Morne Morkel picked up 3-wickets for 18-runs in 4-overs, Roelof van der Merwe captured 3-wickets for 20-runs in 3.5-overs, Ajit Agarkar and Irfan Pathan both took 2-wickets.
Virender Sehwag named Player of the match for his captain innings to smashed a blazing 80 off facing 47-balls including 8-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 170.21.
