Chris Gayle's brutal 12-ball 38 powers to Royal Challengers Bangalore thrilling six-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in a rain-shortened game of the 58th match of a Indian Premier League.
KKR scored 89-4 in 13 overs - due to rain match reduced 20 to 13-overs per side with top scorer by Yusuf Pathan hammered a 36 off 24-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 150.
Manoj Tiwary scored a unbeaten 19 off 24-balls including a boundary and Jacques Kallis hit 17 off 14-balls contained 3-fours.
RCB best bowler by Charl Langeveldt captured two-wickets for 10-runs in 3-overs, Zaheer Khan and Sreenath Aravind both took one-wickets.
RCB chased 105-6 in 12.3 overs - due to rain revised DLS target of 102 from 13-overs - with top scorer by Chris Gayle hammered a 38 off 12-balls, Luke Pomersbach hit 16 off 14-balls including two boundaries, Mohammad Kaif and Virat Kohli each scored 15-runs.
KKR best bowler by Jacques Kallis captured 2-wickets, Iqbal Abdulla, Jaydev Unadkat and Brett Lee each took one-wickets.
Chris Gayle named Player of the match for his match-winning brutal 38 off 12-balls including 6-fours and 2-sixes with strike-rate of 316.66.
