Virat Kohli's record 235, Centuries from Murali Vijay - Jayant Yadav and Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bags 12-wickets helped to India crushing innings and 36-run victory over England took an unbeatable 3-0 lead to seal the series in the the one-sided game of the fourth Test match.

* Keaton Jennings became the 19th England player to score a hundred on debut Test match.

* Virat Kohli became the fifth Indian batsman to score three double centuries in Test matches.

* Virat Kohli's 235 was his highest score for India in Test matches and the highest score by an Indian batsman against England in Tests, surpassing the previous record of 224 held by Vinod Kambli at same venue in 1993.

* Virat Kohli's 235 was the highest score by an Indian captain in Test matches, surpassing the previous record of 224 held by MS Dhoni against Australia at Chennai in 2013.

* India's 631 was their second highest score against England in Test matches and the highest total at Mumbai in Tests.

* 241 : Virat Kohli and Jayant Yadav set up the record eighth-wicket partnership for India in Test matches, previously held by the 161-run stand between Mohammad Azharuddin and Anil Kumble against South Africa at Kolkata in 1996 and the seventh highest eighth-wicket stand in Tests.

* Jayant Yadav's 104 was the highest score by an Indian No.9 batsman in Test matches, surpassing the previous record of 90 held by Farokh Engineer against New Zealand at Chennai in 1965.

* Ravichandran Ashwin's 6 for 55 was the eighth best bowling figures by an Indian bowler against England in Test matches.

* Ravichandran Ashwin's 6 for 55 was his 24th 5-wicket haul or more wickets for India in Test matches and became the third Indian bowler to claimed most five-wicket haul or more wickets in Tests after Anil Kumble (35) and Harbhajan Singh (25).

* Ravichandran Ashwin took 12-wickets in this match - This is Ravichandran Ashwin's seventh ten-wicket plus wickets in a match in Test matches.

ENGLAND 1st Innings scored 400 for all-out (130.1 overs) with top scorer by Debutant Keaton Jennings - who scored 112 off 219-balls on his debut Test match - including 13-fours and Jos Buttler 76 (137)

Murali Vijay 136 (282) - which was his 8th Test century and his third century in Tests - including 10-fours & 3-sixes and Jayant Yadav 104 (204) - which was his maiden Test hundred - including 15-fours.
