Bowlers attack before Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag's eighties helped to India emphatic eight-wicket victory over England and wrap up 3-1 lead in a one-sided game of the fourth ODI.

  • Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman to reach 11,000 runs in One-day international cricket history.
  • 55 : Sachin Tendulkar hit the fifth most fifties in One-day internationals.

England scored 218-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Nick Knight struck 74 off 82-balls including 9-fours.

Graham Thorpe scored a unbeaten 36 off 43-balls including a boundary, Marcus Trescothick, Andrew Flintoff each scored 18-runs and Nasser Hossain 15.

India best bowler by Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble each took 2-wickets and one for Javagal Srinath.

India chased 219-2 in 29.4 overs with top scorer by Sachin Tendulkar hammered a unbeaten 87 off 67-balls including 13-fours & a six with strike rate of 129.85, Virender Sehwag 82 and Sourav Ganguly hit 26 off 32-balls included 5-fours.

England best bowler by Paul Collingwood and Darren Gough both took one-wickets.

Virender Sehwag named Player of the match for his match-winning quick-fire 82-runs knocked off facing 62-balls including 14-fours with strike rate of 132.26.
