Bowlers attack after Kieron Pollard's quick-fire half-century and Ambati Rayudu's 37 helped to Mumbai Indians crushing 23-run victory over Chennai Super Kings, despite a fighting knock from MS Dhoni's 63* and MI lift the their first IPL title in the final of a Indian Premier League.

  • Mumbai Indians became the fifth team to win the IPL title.
  • Dwayne Bravo's 4 for 42 was the ninth best bowling figures for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League and the best-bowling-figures by an CSK bowler against Mumbai Indians in IPL, improving his own record of 3 for 9 at Delhi earlier this month.

MI scored 148-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by  Kieron Pollard hammered a unbeaten 60 off 32-balls, Ambati Rayudu cracked a 37 off 36-balls including 4-fours.

Dinesh Karthik cracked a 21 off 26-balls including 3-fours and Harbhajan Singh hit 14 off 8-balls contained three-fours with strike rate of 175.

CSK best bowler by Dwayne Bravo claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 42-runs in 4-overs, Albie Morkel took 2-wickets and one for Chris Morris - Mohit Sharma.

CSK scored 125-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by MS Dhoni blasted a unbeaten 63 off 45-balls including 5-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 140.

Murali Vijay scored 18 off 20-balls including 2-fours and Dwayne Bravo hit 15 off 16-balls contained 3-fours.

MI best bowler by Harbhajan Singh, Mitchell Johnson, Lasith Malinga each captured 2-wickets, Rishi Dhawan, Pragyan Ojha and Kieron Pollard each took one-wickets.

Kieron Pollard named Player of the match for his power-hitting batting performance to smashed a 60 off facing 32-balls including 7-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 187.50.

Shane Watson earned player of the tournament for his all-round performance to contributed 543-runs including one-century & two half-centuries with average of 38.78 and took 13-wickets.
