Andre Russell's all-round display and Umesh Yadav and Morne Morkel's combined 5-wickets helped to Kolkata Knight Riders convincing four-wicket victory over Kings XI Punjab in the 14th match of a Indian Premier League.
* Sandeep Sharma's 4 for 25 was the fifth best bowling figures for Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League and KXIP's best bowling figures against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL.
KXIP scored 155-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by George Bailey cracked a 60 off 45-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes.
Glenn Maxwell struck 33 off 26-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Wriddhiman Saha hit 15 off 11-balls included one-six & a four, Virender Sehwag and Gurkeerat Singh Mann each scored 11-runs.
KKR best bowler by Umesh Yadav picked up 3-wickets for 33-runs in 4-overs, Morne Morkel, Andre Russell both took 2-wickets and one for Sunil Narine.
KKR chased 159-6 in 17.5 overs with top scorer by Andre Russell hammered a 66 off 36-balls, Yusuf Pathan hit a unbeaten 28 off 24-balls including 4-fours.
Suryakumar Yadav blasted a 23 off 10-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 230, Robin Uthappa scored 13 off 10-balls included 2-fours and Manish Pandey struck 12 off 6-balls contained 2-fours with strike rate of 200.
KXIP best bowler by Sandeep Sharma claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 25-runs in 4-overs, Thisara Perera and Mitchell Johnson both took one-wickets.
Andre Russell named Player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to smashed a career-best 66 off facing 36-balls including 9-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 183.33 after taking 2-wickets for 39-runs in 4-overs.
