India scored 154 for all-out in 35 overs with top scorer by Gundappa Viswanath struck 56 off 88-balls including 5-fours, Mohinder Amarnath 26 and Debutant Dilip Vengsarkar - who scored 16-runs on his debut ODI match.

New Zealand best bowler by Richard Collinge 5-23, Lance Cairns and Dayle Hadlee both took 2-wickets.

New Zealand chased 155-1 in 30.3 overs with top scorer by Glenn Turner scored a unbeaten 63 off consuming 121-deliveries including five boundaries.

Bevan Congdon cracked a unbeaten 45 off 65-balls including 2-fours & a six and Debutant Jock Edwards - who scored 41 off 57-balls on his debut ODI match - included 4-fours & a six.

India best bowler by Bishan Bedi took 1-wicket for 24-runs in 7-overs.

Richard Collinge named Player of the match for record-breaking bowling performance to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 23-runs in 7-overs including a maiden.
