Quinton de Kock's record-equal century and Rassie van der Dussen's fifty before Three-wicket hauls from Lungi Ngidi and Andile Phehlukwayo helped to South Africa thrilling 4-run victory over India, despite a sensational counter-attacking half-century from Deepak Chahar and clinch their historic first 3-0 whitewash against India in a high-voltage game of the third ODI.

  • South Africa's 4-run win was their joint seventh smallest victory by terms of runs in One-day international and It is their narrowest win against India in ODIs, previous smallest victory by 5-runs at Kanpur in 2015.
  • This is the 13th time South Africa have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and their first against India in ODIs.
  • This is the second time India have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals after India faced 3-0 clean sweep against New Zealand in 2020.

South Africa scored 287 for all-out in 49.5 overs with top scorer by Quinton de Kock 124 off 130-balls - which was his 17th ODI hundred & his sixth century against India in ODIs.

Rassie van der Dussen struck 52 off 59-balls including 4-fours & a six, David Miller cracked a 39 off 38-balls included 3-fours & a six, Dwaine Pretorius 20 and Aiden Markram 15.

India best bowler by Prasidh Krishna picked up 3-wickets, Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar both took 2-wickets and one for Yuzvendra Chahal.

India scored 283 for all-out in 49.2 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli struck 65 off 84-balls including 5-fours.

Shikhar Dhawan cracked a 61 off 73-balls including 5-fours & a six, Deepak Chahar hammered a 54 off 34-balls included 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 158.82.

Suryakumar Yadav blasted a 39 off 32-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 121.87 and Shreyas Iyer 26.

South Africa best bowler by Andile Phehlukwayo picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 7-overs, Lungi Ngidi takes 3-wickets, Dwaine Pretorius took 2-wickets and one for Keshav Maharaj - Sisanda Magala.

Quinton de Kock named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 124-runs knocked off facing 130-balls including 12-fours and 2-sixes.

Quinton de Kock earned player of the series for contributing 229-runs in the three-match ODI series.
