Liton Das' record-breaking 136 and Mushfiqur Rahim's superb 86 sets up to Bangladesh thumping 88-run victory over Afghanistan and took an unbeatable 2-0 lead to seal the series in the second ODI.

  • Bangladesh's 88-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs against Afghanistan in One-day internationals.
  • Bangladesh's 306 was their highest score against Afghanistan in T20 internationals, previous highest was 279 at Mirpur in 2016.
  • 202 : Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim set up the record third-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in T20 internationals, previously held by the 178-run stand between Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim against Pakistan at Mirpur in 2015.
  • Afghanistan's 218 was their fifth lowest score in the completed innings against Bangladesh in One-day internationals.
  • Liton Das became the second Bangladesh batsman to score a hundred against Afghanistan in One-day internationals after Tamim Iqbal.
  • Liton Das' 136 was his second highest score for Bangladesh in One-day international and the highest-score by an Bangladesh batsman against Afghanistan in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 118 held by Tamim Iqbal at Mirpur in 2016. 

Bangladesh scored 306-4 in 50 overs with top scorer by Liton Das 136 off 126-balls - which was his 5th ODI hundred & his first century against Afghanistan in T20Is - including 16-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 107.93.

Mushfiqur Rahim struck 86 off 93-balls including 6-fours and Shakib Al Hasan 20.

Afghanistan best bowler by Fareed Ahmad took 2-wickets and one for the Rashid Khan - Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Afghanistan scored 218 for all-out in 45.1 overs with top scorer by Najibullah Zadran struck 54 off 61-balls including 7-fours.

Rahmat Shah scored 52 off 71-balls including 4-fours, Mohammad Nabi hit 32 off 40-balls included 3-fours and Rashid Khan cracked a 29 off 26-balls with 3-fours & a six.

Bangladesh best bowler by Taskin Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan both took 2-wickets, Afif Hossain, Mahmudullah, Shoriful Islam, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman each took one-wickets.

Liton Das named Player of the match for his record-breaking batting performance to scored a 136-runs knocked off facing 126-balls including 16-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 107.93.
