Half-centuries from openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan before Harshal Patel's four-for and Yuzvendra Chahal's three-for helped to India resounding record 48-run victory over South Africa and keep alive the series in the third T20I.

  • India's 48-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs against South Africa in T20 internationals, previous biggest win by 37-runs at Durban in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20.
  • India's 179 was their sixth highest score against South Africa in T20 internationals.
  • 97 : Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan set up the record first-wicket partnership for India against South Africa in T20 international, previously held by the unbeaten 71-run stand between Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir at Johannesburg in 2012 and India's third highest any-wicket stand against South Africa in T20Is.
  • South Africa's 131 was their fourth lowest score in the completed innings against India in T20 internationals.
  • Harshal Patel's 4 for 25 was his best bowling performance for India in T20 international and the fourth best bowling figures by an Indian bowler against South Africa in T20Is.

India scored 179-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Ruturaj Gaikwad hammered a 57 off 35-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 162.85.

Ishan Kishan blasted a 54 off 35-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 154.28, Hardik Pandya hammered a unbeatean 31 off 21-balls included 4-fours with strike-rate of 147.61.

South Africa best bowler by Dwaine Pretorius takes 2-wickets, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada and Tabraiz Shamshi each took one-wickets.

South Africa scored 131 for all-out in 19.1 overs with top scorer by Heinrich Klaasen hit 29 off 24-balls including 3-fours & a six, Reeza Hendricks 23, Wayne Parnell 22 not out and Dwaine Pretorius 20.

India best bowler by Harshal Patel 4-25, Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 4-overs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel both took one-wickets.

Yuzvendra Chahal named Player of the match for his brilliant spin bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 4-overs and took two catches.
