Half-centuries from Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka and Dunith Wellalage's quick-fire 31* helped to Sri Lanka hard-fought four-wicket victory over Afghanistan, despite a Ibrahim Zadran's record-breaking 162 and drawn the three-match series with 1-1 in a high-scoring thriller of the third ODI.

  • 154 : Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for Afghanistan in One-day international, previously held by the unbeaten 144-run stand between Nawroz Mangal and Samiullah Shinwari against Scotland at Sharjah in 2013 and the Afghanistan's ninth highest fourth-wicket stand in ODIs.

Afghanistan scored 313-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Ibrahim Zadran hammered a 162 off 138-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred & his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs - including 15-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 117.39.

Najibullah Zadran struck 77 off 76-balls including 8-fours & a six, Rahmat Shah scored 22 off 30-balls included 4-fours, Rashid Khan 13 and Mohammad Nabi 12.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Kasun Rajitha picked up 3-wickets for 60-runs in 10-overs, Wanindu Hasaranga took 2-wickets and one for Dhananjaya de Silva - Asitha Fernando.

Sri Lanka chased 314-6 in 49.4 overs with top scorer by Charith Asalanka cracked a unbeaten 83 off 72-balls.

Kusal Mendis struck 67 off 61-balls including 8-fours & a six, Dasun Shanaka scored 43 off 44-balls included 5-fours.

Pathum Nissanka scored 35 off 55-balls including three boundaries, Dinesh Chandimal cracked a 33 off 32-balls included 2-fours & a six and Dunith Wellalage hammered a unbeaten 31 off 21-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 147.61.

Afghanistan best bowler by Rashid Khan claimed a 4-wickets for 37-runs in 10-overs and Mohammad Nabi took 2-wickets.

Charith Asalanka named Player of the match for his match-winning superb unbeaten 83-runs knocked off facing 72-balls including 5-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 115.27.
