Three-wicket hauls from Wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav and Pacer Mohammed Siraj before An superb unbeaten 64 from KL Rahul helped to India hard-fought five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka, despite a debutant Nuwanidu Fernando's impressive debut fifty and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a low-scoring game of the second ODI.

  • Sri Lanka's 215 was their third lowest score against India at Eden Gardens in One-day international and It is their fourth worst-total at Eden Gardens in ODIs.
  • Nuwanidu Fernando became the first Sri Lankan player to score 50 or more runs on debut ODI match against India and overall the sixth Sri Lankan player in ODIs.

Sri Lanka scored 215 for all-out in 39.4 overs with top scorer by Debutant Nuwanidu Fernando - who scored 50 off 63-balls on his debut ODI match - including 6-fours.

Kusal Mendis cracked a run-a-ball 34-runs including 3-fours & a six, Dunith Wellalage struck 32 off 34-balls including 3-fours & a six.

Wanindu Hasaranga hit 21 off 17-balls including 3-fours & a six, Avishka Fernando scored 20 off 17-balls included 4-fours.

India best bowler by Mohammed Siraj picked up 3-wickets for 30-runs in 5.4-over, Kuldeep Yadav picked up 3-wickets, Umran Malik took 2-wickets and one for Axar Patel.

India chased 219-6 in 43.2 overs with top scorer by KL Rahul cracked a unbeaten 64 off 103-balls including 6-fours.

Hardik Pandya hit 36 off 53-balls including 4-fours, Shreyas Iyer struck 28 off 33-balls included 5-fours.

Shubman Gill hammered a 21 off 12-balls including 5-fours with strike rate of 175, Axar Patel scored a run-a-ball 21-runs included one-six & a four and Rohit Sharma hit 17 off 21-balls including 2-fours & a six.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Chamika Karunaratne, Lahiru Kumara both took 2-wickets and one for Dhananjaya de Silva - Kasun Rajitha.

Kuldeep Yadav named Player of the match for his brilliant spin bowling performance to took three key wickets for 51-runs in 10-overs.
