Captain Dasun Shanaka's record-breaking 20-ball fastest fifty and Kusal Mendis' blazing half-century, Charith Asalanka's rapid 37 and a first-over double-wicket from Kasun Rajitha sets up to Sri Lanka comprehensive 16-run victory over India, despite a fighting half-centuries from Suryakumar Yadav - Axar Patel and level the series with 1-1 in a high-scoring game of the second T20I.

  • Kusal Mendis hammered a 27-ball his third fastest fifty for Sri Lanka in T20 international and the sixth fastest fifty by an Sri Lankan batsman against India in T20Is.
  • 80 : Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis set up the second highest first-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against India in T20 international and the Sri Lanka'a fifth highest any-wicket stand against India in T20Is.

  • Dasun Shanaka hammered a 20-ball fastest fifty by an Sri Lankan batsman in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 21-ball half-century held by Mahela Jayawardene against Kenya at Johannesburg in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20 and also the fastest fifty by an Sri Lankan batsman against India in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 21-ball half-century held by Kumar Sangakkara at Nagpur in 2009.
  • Axar Patel equalled a 20-ball joint fifth fastest fifty for India in T20 international and the joint second fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against Sri Lanka in T20Is, jointly with Yuvraj Singh.
  • 6 : Axar Patel equalled a joint ninth most sixes hit in an innings for India in T20 international and the joint third most-sixes hit by an Indian batsman against Sri Lanka in T20Is.
  • 91 : Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for India against Sri Lanka in T20 international, previously held by the 70-run stand between Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya against England at Ahmedabad in 2021 and the India's seventh highest any-wicket stand against Sri Lanka in T20Is.
  • India's 190 was their sixth highest score against Sri Lanka in T20 internationals.

Sri Lanka scored 206-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Dasun Shanaka hammered a unbeaten 56 off 22-balls.

Kusal Mendis blasted a 52 off 31-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 167.74, Charith Asalanka hammered a 37 off 19-balls included 4-sixes with strike-rate of 194.73 and Pathum Nissanka struck 33 off 35-balls including 4-fours.

India best bowler by Umran Malik picked up 3-wickets, Axar Patel took 2-wickets and one for Yuzvendra Chahal.

India were 57-5 to scored 190-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Axar Patel hammered a 65 off 31-balls including 6-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 209.67.

Suryakumar Yadav blasted a 51 off 36-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 141.66, Shivam Mavi hammered a 26 off 15-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 173.33.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Dasun Shanaka, Kasun Rajitha, Dilshan Madushanka each took 2-wickets and one for Chamika Karunaratne - Wanindu Hasaranga.

Dasun Shanaka named Player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to took 2-wickets in the final over of the match and after smashing a power-hitting unbeaten 56-runs knocked off facing 22-balls including 6-sixes and 2-fours with strike rate of 254.54.
