Tagenarine Chanderpaul's unbeaten 207 was his highest score for West Indies in Test matches and the highest-score by an West Indies batsman against Zimbabwe in Tests, surpassing the previous record of 191 held by Brian Lara at same venue in 2003. Tagenarine Chanderpaul became the tenth West Indies batsman to convert his maiden Test hundred into a double-century in Test matches. Kraigg Brathwaite's 182 was his second highest score for West Indies in Test matches and the third highest-score by an West Indies batsman against Zimbabwe in Tests. 336 : Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul set up the record first-wicket partnership for West Indies in Test cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 298-run stand between Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes against England at St John's in 1990 and the West Indies' highest any-wicket stand against Zimbabwe in Tests, previously held by the 214-run stand between Daren Ganga and Chris Gayle at same venue in 2001. West Indies' 447 was their fourth highest score against Zimbabwe in Test matches and also It is their fourth highest total in Zimbabwean soil in Tests. Gary Ballance became the third Zimbabwean batsman to score 100 on debut match in Test cricket after Dave Houghton and Hamilton Masakadza. Zimbabwe's 379 was their third highest score against West Indies in Test matches and It is their sixth highest total at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo in Tests. 135 : Gary Ballance and Brandon Mavuta set up the second highest eighth-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe against West Indies in Test matches and the Zimbabwe's third highest eighth-wicket stand in Tests.
