Captain Shakib Al Hasan, Debutant Towhid Hridoy's nineties and Mushfiqur Rahim's quick-fire 44 before Ebadot Hossain's four-for, Nasum Ahmed and Taskin Ahmed's combined 5-wickets helped to Bangladesh's record 183-run victory over Ireland and take a 1-0 lead in a one-sided game of the first ODI.

Match Stats :
  • Bangladesh's 183-run was their largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international cricket history, previous biggest win by 169-runs against Zimbabwe at Sylhet in 2020.
  • Shakib Al Hasan became the second Bangladesh player to reach 7000 ODI runs after Tamim Iqbal.
  • Bangladesh's 338 was their highest score ever in One-day internationals cricket history, previous highest was 333 against Australia at Nottingham in 2019.
  • 135 : Shakib Al Hasan and Towhid Hridoy set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh against Ireland in One-day international, previously held by the 107-run stand between Junaid Siddique and Shakib Al Hasan at Belfast in 2010 and the Bangladesh's seventh highest fourth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • 80 : Towhid Hridoy and Mushfiqur Rahim set up the second highest fifth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh against Ireland in ODIs.
  • Towhid Hridoy became the fourth Bangladesh player to win the Man-of-the-match award on debut ODI match after Sohag Gazi, Taijul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.

Bangladesh scored 338-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan blasted a 93 off 89-balls - who fell seven-run short of his century including 8-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 104.89.

Debutant Towhid Hridoy - who hammered a 92 off 85-balls on his debut ODI match, Mushfiqur Rahim hammered a 44 off 26-balls included 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 169.23.

Litton Das hit 26 off 31-balls including 2-fours & a six, Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a 25 off 34-balls included a boundary and Yasir Ali 17.

Ireland best bowler by Graham Hume claimed a 4-wickets for 60-runs in 10-overs, Andy McBrine, Curtis Campher and  Mark Adair each took one-wickets.

Irelscored 155 for all-out in 30.5 overs with top scorer by George Dockrell struck 45 off 47-balls including 6-fours.

Stephen Doheny scored 34 off 38-balls including 4-fours & a six, Paul Stirling hit 22 off 31-balls included one-six & a four and Curtis Campher 16.

Ireland best bowler by Ebadot Hossain claimed a 4-wickets for 42-runs in 6.5-overs, Nasim Ahmed picked up 3-wickets for 43-runs in 8-overs, Taskin Ahmed took 2-wickets and one for Shakib Al Hasan.

Towhid Hridoy named Player of the match for his superb debut batting performance to scored a 92-runs knocked off facing 85-balls including 8-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 108.23.
