  • David Gower's 122 was the third highest score for England in One-day international and the second highest-score by an England batsman against New Zealand in ODIs after Keith Fletcher's 131 at Nottingham in the inaugural 1975 World Cup.

Glenn Turner scored 38 off 51-balls including two boundaries, Lance Cairns blasted a 36 off 26-balls included 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 138.46.

Bruce Edgar scored 30 off consuming 77-deliveries including three Boundaries and Richard Hadlee hit 24 off 18-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 133.33.

England best bowler by Ian Botham picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 10-overs, Bob Willis took 2-wickets and one for Vic Marks.

England scored 237-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by David Gower struck 122 off 134-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred and his first century against New Zealand in ODIs.

Ian Botham hit 41 off 47-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Chris Tavaré 16 and Allan Lamb 15.

New Zealand best bowler by Jeremy Coney picked up 3-wickets, Martin Snedden took 2-wickets and one for Richard Hadlee - Ewen Chatfield.
