Nicholas Pooran's blazing half-century before Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Dayal's each two wickets helped to Lucknow Super Giants pulled off a thrilling 1-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders, despite a stunning innings from Rinku Singh's 33-ball 67 and LSG march into the play-offs in a last-over thriller of the 68th match of a Indian Premier League.

  • Lucknow Super Giants' 1-run win was their smallest victory by terms of runs in Indian Premier League, previous narrowest win by 2-runs against same opponent at Dy Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai in the last season and the joint smallest win in IPL.
  • Lucknow Super Giants' 176 was their joint second highest total against Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League.
  • 74 : Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for Lucknow Super Giants against Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League, previously held by the 15-run stand between Ayush Badoni and Jason Holder at Pune in the last season.

  • Kolkata Knight Riders' 175 was their second highest total against Lucknow Super Giants in IPL after their 208 at Dy Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai in the last season.

LSG scored 176-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Nicholas Pooran hammered a 58 off 30-balls.

Quinton de Kock scored 28 off 27-balls including 2-sixes, Prerak Mankad hit 26 off 20-balls included 5-fours and Ayush Badoni scored 25 off 21-balls including 2-fours & a six.

KKR best bowler by Shardul Thakur, Sunil Narine, Vaibhav Arora each took 2-wickets and one for Harshit Rana - Varun Chakravarthy.

KKR scored 175-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rinku Singh hammered a unbeaten 67 off 33-balls including 6-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 203.03.

Jason Roy hammered a 45 off 28-balls including 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 160.71 and Venkatesh Iyer hit 24 off 15-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 160.

LSG best bowler by Ravi Bishnoi, Yash Thakur both took 2-wickets and one for Krishnappa Gowtham - Krunal Pandya.

Nicholas Pooran named Player of the match for his blazing 58-runs knocked off facing 30-balls including 5-sixes & 4-fours with strike rate of 193.33.
