Rahmanullah Gurbaz's career-best 145 and Ibrahim Zadran's brilliant century before Three-wicket hauls from Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman helped to Afghanistan's record 142-run victory over Bangladesh and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a one-sided game of the second ODI.

  • Afghanistan's 142-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international and It is their biggest win against Bangladesh in ODIs, previous biggest win by 136-runs at Abu Dhabi in 2018.
  • This is the third instance of Afghanistan's two batsmen were scores of centuries or more runs in their innings in One-day international and It is their first such instance against Bangladesh in ODIs.
  • Ibrahim Zadran became the second Afghanistan batsman to score a century against Bangladesh in ODIs after Rahmanullah Gurbaz's two centuries.
  • 256 : Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran set up the record first-wicket partnership for Afghanistan in One-day international, previously held by the 141-run stand Karim Sadiq and Javed Ahmadi against Netherlands at Sharjah in 2012 and also the Afghanistan's highest any-wicket stand in ODIs, previously held by the unbeaten 218-run stand between Karim Sadiq and Mohammad Shahzad against Scotland at Ayr in 2010.
  • Rahmanullah Gurbaz's 145 was the second highest score for Afghanistan in One-day international after Ibrahim Zadran's 162 against Sri Lanka at Pallekelle in the last year and the highest-score by an Afghanistan batsman against Bangladesh in ODIs, surpassing the his own record of unbeaten 106 at same venue in the last year.
  • 8 : Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit his second most sixes in an innings for Afghanistan in One-day international and the most-sixes hit by an Afghanistan batsman against Bangladesh in an innings in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 4-sixes hit by Rahmanullah Gurbaz Najibullah Najibullah Zadran.

Afghanistan scored 331-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rahmanullah Gurbaz hammered a career-best 145 off 125-balls - which was 4th ODI hundred & his second century against Bangladesh in ODIs - including 13-fours & 8-sixes with strike rate of 116.

Ibrahim Zadran struck exact 100 off - which was his 4th ODI hundred & his first century against Bangladesh in ODIs - including 9-fours & a six and Mohammad Nabi hit a unbeaten 25 off 15-balls including one-six & a four with strike rate of 166.66.

Bangladesh best bowler by Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Hasan Mahmud each took 2-wickets and one for Ebadot Hossain.

Bangladesh scored 189 for all-out in 43.2 overs with top scorer by Mushfiqur Rahim struck 69 off 85-balls including 6-fours.

Shakib Al Hasan hit 25 off 29-balls including 3-fours, Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 25 off 48-balls included 2-fours and Towhid Hridoy 16.

Afghanistan best bowler by Fazalhaq Farooqi picked up 3-wickets for 22-runs in 7.2-overs including a maiden.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 10-overs, Rashid Khan took 2-wickets and one for Mohammad Nabi.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz named Player of the match for his career-best quick-fire 145-runs knocked off facing 125-balls including 13-fours and 8-sixes with strike rate of 116.
