* WEST INDIES continued to wipe out the memory of their World Cup final defeat by India with a record 104-run win in the fourth one-day international.

* Viv Richards was third out at 304. This was the first of six wickets to collapse for 29, leaving India with an improbable task, though Sunil Gavaskar, top scorer with 83, and Ashok Malhotra (65) salvaged some pride with a third-wicket partnership of 105.

West Indies scored massive total of 333-8 in 45 overs with top scorer by Viv Richards hammered a 149 off 99-balls - which was his 5th ODI hundred & his second century against India in ODIs.

Gordon Greenidge struck 115 off 134-balls - which was his 5th ODI hundred & his second century against India in ODIs - including 10-fours & 5-sixes and Jeff Dujon hammered a 49 off 20-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century - included 5-fours.

India best bowler by Kapil Dev picked up 3-wickets for 44-runs in 9-overs including a maiden, Chetan Sharma picked up 3-wickets and one for Madan Lal - Ravi Shastri.

India scored 229-5 in 45 overs with top scorer by Kapil Dev struck 83 off 107-balls Including 6-fours & 3-sixes.

Ashok Malhotra hit 65 off 62-balls including 7-fours, Kapil Dev cracked a run-a-ball unbeaten 44-runs included 4-fours & 2-sixes and Mohinder Amarnath 16.

West Indies best bowler by Andy Roberts picked up 3-wickets and one for Michael Holding - Roger Harper.

Viv Richards named Player of the match for his own record-breaking 149-runs knocked off facing 99-balls including 20-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 150.50.
