Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, Ben Stokes and Harry Brook stars as England pulled off a thrilling three-wicket victory over Australia and keep alive the five-match Ashes series in a see-saw game of the third Ashes Test match.

  • Mitchell Marsh's 118 was his second highest score for Australia in Test matches and also his second highest-score against England in Tests.
  • Mark Wood's 5 for 34 was his second best bowling figures for England in Test matches and also his second best-bowling-figures against Australia in Tests.
  • Pat Cummins' 6 for 91 was his fourth best bowling figures for Australia in Test matches and his best bowling figures against England in Tests, surpassing the his previous best was 5 for 38 at Brisbane in 2021.
  • Pat Cummins' 6 for 31 was the fifth best bowling figures by an Australian bowler against England at Headingley, Leeds in Test matches.

Travis Head struck 39 off 74-balls including 5-fours, Steve Smith 22 and Marnus Labuchagne 21.

1st Innings England best bowler by Mark Wood claimed a 5-wicket haul for 34-runs in 11.4-overs including four maidens, Chris Woakes picked up 3-wickets and Stuart Broad took 2-wickets.

England 1st Innings scored 237 for all-out in 52.3 overs with top scorer by Ben Stokes blasted a 80 off 108-balls including 6-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 74.07.

Zak Crawley cracked a 33 off 39-balls including 3-fours, Mark Wood hammered a 24 off 8-balls included 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 300, Moeen Ali 21 and Joe Root 19.

1st Innings Australia best bowler by Pat Cummins claimed a 6-wicket haul for 91-runs in 18-overs including a maiden, Mitchell Starc took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Marsh - Todd Murphy.

Australia 2nd Innings scored 224 for all-out in in 67.1 overs with top scorer by Travis Head hit 77 off 112-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes.

Usman Khawaja cracked a 43 off 96-balls including 3-fours, Marnus Labuchagne scored 33 off 77-balls including 5-fours, Mitchell Marsh hit 28 off 52-balls with 5-fours and Mitchell Starc 16.

2nd Innings England best bowler by Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes both picked up 3-wickets, Moeen Ali and Mark Wood both took 2-wickets.

England chased 254-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Harry Brook blasted a 75 off 93-balls including 9-fours.

Zak Crawley cracked a 44 off 55-balls including 5-fours, Chris Woakes hammered a unbeaten 32 off 47-balls included 4-fours.

Ben Duckett scored 23 off 31-balls including 3-fours, Joe Root hit 21 off 33-balls included 3-fours and Mark Wood blasted a unbeaten 16 off 8-balls including one-six & a four with strike rate of 200.

2nd Innings Australia best bowler by Mitchell Starc claimed a 5-wickets haul for 78-runs in 16-overs, Mitchell Marsh and Pat Cummins both took one-wickets.

Mark Wood named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to took seven wickets in an match.
