New Zealand scored 278-3 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mark Greatbatch hammered a 84 off 67-balls including 8-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 125.37.

John Wright struck 70 off 96-balls including 7-fours & a six, Andrew Jones hit 57 off 85-balls included 3-fours, Ken Rutherford scored 32 off 43-balls with a boundary.

India best bowler by Debutant Margashayam Venkataramana - who captured 2-wickets for 36-runs in 10-overs on his debut ODI match and Chetan Sharma took one-wicket.

India chased 282-8 in 47.1 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Azharuddin hammered a unbeaten 108 off 65-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred and his first century against New Zealand in ODIs.

Sanjay Manjrekar scored 52 off 69-balls including two boundaries, Ajay Sharma blasted a 50 off 36-balls included 5-fours with strike rate of 138.88.

Chandrakant Pandit hit 30 off 44-balls including 3-fours and Dilip Vengsarkar scored 28 off 46-balls included a boundary.

New Zealand best bowler by Danny Morrison picked up 3-wickets, Martin Snedden took 2-wickets and one for Chris Kuggeleijn.

Mohammad Azharuddin named Player of the match for his match-winning record-breaking blazing batting performance to smashed a unbeaten 108-runs knocked off facing 65-balls including 10-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 166.15.
