  • Kris Srikkanth became the first Indian bowler to claimed a two five-wicket hauls against New Zealand in ODIs.

India scored 222-6 in the alloted 45 overs with top scorer by V.B.Chandrasekhar hit a career-best 53 off 77-balls including 7-fours.

Ajay Sharma cracked a career-best unbeaten 52 off 47-balls, Kris Srikkanth cracked a 23 off 49-balls included 2-fours & a six, Chandrakant Pandit 19 not out and Mohammad Azharuddin 17.

New Zealand best bowler by Evan Gray, Chris Kuggeleijn and Martin Snedden each took one-wickets.

New Zealand scored 169-9 in 45 overs with top scorer by Mark Greatbatch struck 64 off 97-balls including 5-fours.

John Wright scored 43 off 74-balls including four boundaries and Tony Blain 17.

India best bowler by Kris Srikkanth claimed a 5-wicket haul for 32-runs in 6-overs, Sanjeev Sharma took 2-wickets and one for Maninder Singh.

Ajay Sharma named Player of the match for his superb batting performance to scored a career-best unbeaten 52 off 47-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 110.63.
