A superb 55-run stand for the seventh-wicket between Angelo Mathews and Dasun Shanaka before Dushmantha Chameera struck six runs off last two of the as match as Sri Lanka tense three-wicket victory over Zimbabwe, despite a all-round display from captain Sikandar Raza and take a 1-0 lead in a last-ball thriller of the first T20I.

Zimbabwe scored 143-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Sikandar Raza blasted a 62 off 42-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 147.61.

Tinashe Kamunhukamwe blasted a 26 off 18-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 144.44, Sean Williams scored 14 off 20-balls without a boundary and Luke Jongwe 13 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga both took 2-wickets and one for Dushmantha Chameera.

Sri Lanka chased 144-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Angelo Mathews cracked a 46 off 38-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 121.05.

Dasun Shanaka hit a unbeaten 26 off 18-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 144.44, Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis each scored 17-runs and Charith Asalanka 16.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Sikandar Raza picked up 3-wickets for 13-runs in 4-overs with economy rate of 3.25, Blessing Muzarabani took 2-wickets and one for Wellington Masakadza - Richard Ngarava.

Angelo Mathews named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant 46 off 38-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 121.05.
