Masterclass innings from Craig Ervine's 54-ball 70, A Power-hitting display from Luke Jongwe's 12-ball 25 and Clive Madande's 5-ball 15 powers Zimbabwe registered their historic first T20I win against Sri Lanka by a thrilling four-wickets, despite a Charith Asalanka - Angelo Mathews' stunning fifties and level the series with 1-1 in a nail-bitter game of the second T20I.

  • Zimbabwe chased 174 was their third highest successful run-chase in T20 internationals.
  • This is the Zimbabwe's first T20I win against Sri Lanka in the fifth T20I meeting between these sides and also It is their first win in Sri Lankan soil in the fourth attempt.

Angelo Mathews cracked a unbeaten 66 off 51-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 129.41 and Sadeera Samarawickrama hit 16 off 12-balls included 2-fours

Zimbabwe best bowler by Luke Jongwe, Blessing Muzarabani both took 2-wickets and one for Wellington Masakadza - Richard Ngarava.

Zimbabwe chased 178-6 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Craig Ervine cracked a 70 off 54-balls including 6-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 129.62.

Brian Bernett hit 25 off 20-balls including 3-fours, Luke Jongwe hammered a unbeaten 25 off 12-balls and Clive Madande blasted a unbeaten 15 off 5-balls contained 2-sixes with strike rate of 300.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera both took 2-wickets and one for Dilshan Madushanka - Wanindu Hasaranga.

Luke Jongwe named Player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to smashed a power-hitting unbeaten 25 off facing 12-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 208.33 after taking 2-wickets for 32-runs in 2-overs.
