England scored 295-6 in the allotted 55 overs with top scorer by Robin Smith hit a career-best 128 off 168-ballls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 16-fours.

Graham Gooch cracked a 55 off 88-balls including 4-fours & a six, Alec Stewart blasted a 33 off 25-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 132.

Derek Pringle hammered a unbeaten 30 off 17-balls including 5-fours with strike rate of 176.47, Allan Lamb scored 18 off 25-balls included 2-fours and Jack Russell hit 13 off 5-balls contained three-fours with strike rate of 260.

New Zealand best bowler by Chris Pringle, Richard Hadlee both took 2-wickets and one for Danny Morrison.

New Zealand chased 298-6 in 54.5 overs with top scorer by Mark Greatbatch hit a unbeaten 102 off 104-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred.

John Wright cracked a 52 off 77-balls including 8-fours, Andrew Jones struck 51 off 66-balls included 4-fours.

Martin Crowe scored 46 off 48-balls including 3-fours and Ian Smith hit a unbeaten 17 off 11-balls included 2-fours with strike rate of 154.54.

England best bowler by Chris Lewis picked up 3-wickets for 54-runs in 11-overs, Graham Gooch took 2-wickets and one for Gladstone Small.

Mark Greatbatch named Player of the match for his match-winning superb unbeaten 102-runs knocked off facing 104-balls including 9-fours and 3-sixes.
