  • Bangladesh's 16-run win was their smallest victory by terms of runs against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previous narrowest win by 33-runs at Mirpur in 2021.
  • Bangladesh's 248 was their third highest score against Sri Lanka in Sri Lankan soil in One-day international and It is their second highest total at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo in ODIs after their 265 against India in 2023.
  • Sri Lanka's 232 was their second lowest score in a completed innings against Bangladesh at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo in ODIs after their 196 in 2007.
  • Tanvir Islam's 5 for 39 was his best bowling performance for Bangladesh in One-day international and the best-bowling-figures by an Bangladesh bowler against Sri Lanka in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 5 for 62 held by Abdur Razzak at Pallekele in 2013.
  • Tanvir Islam became the second Bangladesh bowler to take a five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in ODIs after Abdur Razzak.

Bangladesh scored 248 for all-out in 45.5 overs with top scorer by Parvez Hossain Emon struck 67 off 69-balls including 6-fours & 3-sixes.

Towhid Hridoy scored 51 off 69-balls including two boundaries, Tanzim Hasan Sakib hammered a unbeaten 33 off 21-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 157.14.

Jaker Ali scored 24 off 40-balls including two boundaries and Shamim Hossain hit 22 off 23-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Asitha Fernando claimed a 4-wickets for 35-runs in 9-overs, Wanindu Hasaranga picked up 3-wickets, Charith Asalanka and Dushmantha Chameera both took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka bundled out for 232 in 48.5 overs with top scorer by Janith Liyanage cracked a 78 off 85-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes.

Kusal Mendis hammered a 56 off 31-balls including 9-fours & a six with strike rate of 180.64, Kamindu Mendis scored 33 off 51-balls included two boundaries and Nishan Madushka hit 17 off 25-balls contained 3-fours.

Bangladesh best bowler by Tanvir Islam claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 39-runs in 10-overs including two maidens with economy rate of 3.90, Tanzim Hasan Sakib captured two-wickets, Shamim Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman each took one-wickets.
